I know you. Because I have been there. I mean, it’s not as if I used to be an electrician or anything, but I grew up with trades.  My family is chock full of them. And even as a youngster I could see how awesomely skilled my family were in their particular trades, but how disorganised they could be with the administrative and financial elements of running a business. They just didn’t have the time (or inclination) for it.

The memory of stacks of ledgers, piled high. The overflowing in-tray that admin never got to the bottom of. The chalking of debts up to experience to avoid the aggro.  Heck, my Dad’s idea of tracking expenses was putting everything in the big bottom drawer of the desk and then digging in at tax return time to see what sense he could make of it all. Not ideal.

This is why I do what I do, and why I do it well.
